Participation of Maria Loureiro in EAERE Annual Conference in Manchester (26th-29th June)

Maria Loureiro has participated in EAERE (European Association of Environmental and Resource) Conferences that were hold in Manchester (UK) between 26th and 29th June 2019. Maria acted as Chair in the conference "Policy Session: Advancing Economics in Global Policy Discussions" and also as Organizer in the conference "Thematic Session: Using Big Data for Ecosystem Service Valuation and Preference Assessment".

 

María Loureiro takes part in the conferences organized by CERN on the occasion of the FCC week 2019 (June 24-28)

Between June 24 and 28, the 5th International Future Circular Collider (FCC) Conference, organized by the European Council for Nuclear Research (CERN) is taking place in Brussels, with the participation of leading international researchers from various branches of research  in science, engineering and economics.

EcoIuris organizes a workshop of the European EPyRIS project in Santiago de Compostela

On March 14 and 15, a workshop meeting  of the European EPyRIS project organized by the EcoIuris Group took place at the Faculty of Economic and Business Sciences of the University of Santiago de Compostela.

The meeting was attended by the majority of members participating in the project, from France, Spain and Portugal. The workshop served to update the progress in the project, to share all the material developed in the time since the previous meeting, as well as to discuss improvements and future lines of action.

Last 25th February, María Loureiro has participated in the Workshop on Developments in Energy Economics that was hold in Madrid organized by Spanish Association of Energy Economics (AEEE). Her presentation was "Exploring Energy Use in Fashion Stores: A Field Experiment".

Xosé Antón Rodríguez receives the Valentín Paz Andrade Award for his work 'Length of stay: evidence from Santiago de Compostela'

One of the Valentín Paz Andrade Awards went to Xosé A. Rodríguez, Fidel Martínez Roget and Pilar González-Murias in 2018, with their article 'Length of stay: evidence from Santiago de Compostela' published in the journal Annals of Tourism Research.

In the award, the jury highlighted "the novelty of the work and its completeness, with a rigorous statistical analysis that allows to draw conclusions relevant to the design of tourism policy in the area of Santiago de Compostela".
