Professor Maria Loureiro, one of the principal investigators of the EcoIuris group, has participated in the forums organized by the newspaper El Correo Gallego. The debate was held on June 2 and was entitled "Water and sustainable development".

María Loureiro, who developed the paper 'Socio-economic impact of environmental conservation in Galicia', focused her speech on the consideration of this as natural capital linking it to the Gross Domestic Product, as well as the need to measure and economically quantify what its conservation entails with the ultimate goal of making a more efficient and sustainable use of resources.
